Malå

The heritage area in Malå is located in the eastern outskirts of the community, with the health center as a close neighbor. It is situated on a hill at the foot of tje mountain Tjamstanberget, offering a fantastic view over the water Malån. The area contains 13 buildings, primarily from the latter half of the 19th century and relocated during the mid-20th century. During the summer when open, there is a summer café, local history museum, Kniv-Elis history exhibit, 1960s museum, and a bakery cottage. Amenities during open hours include a café, restrooms, some buildings with accessibility for people with disabilities, outdoor seating, and a barbecue area.
