Malå Heritage Centre
Malå Heritage Centre is a living cultural heritage site located on the eastern edge of the community. The heritage area is set on a hillside at the foot of Mount Tjamstanberget and offers a magnificent view over the Malån river and the surrounding landscape.
The site consists of a total of 13 buildings, mainly dating from the late 19th century, which were relocated here in the mid-20th century. Visitors can explore the local heritage museum, learn about the story of Kniv-Eli, step into a 1960s museum, and experience the traditional bakehouse.
During the summer season, when the area is open to visitors, there is a summer café, restrooms, outdoor seating, and a barbecue area. Some buildings are accessible for visitors with disabilities. Malå Heritage Centre is a popular excursion destination for both visitors and local residents.
